On wednesdays we play at The Parochial Hall, 5 Fitzroy Drive, Leeds LS8 4AB, UK.(map) LCA matches are due to start at 7pm.

The club is situated in North Leeds and we meet at the above venue every Wednesday evening from 7 o'clock until about 10.30. We draw members from all over Leeds and some come from as far a field as liverpool, Lancashire, Skipton, York, Wakefield and Ilkley.

We are a very friendly club & welcome new members of any age or standard. Please feel free to come along to any summer club night. Or phone Clive Davies at 0113 2688347. Whatever your standard beginner or expert there is a place for you in our chess club. This is one of the largest chess clubs in Yorkshire and we offer:

Social chess

Internal club tournaments - handicap, rapid play, lightning and normal play

The chance to represent the club in the Leeds and Yorkshire Leagues as well as in the National Club Championships.

When Rose Forgrove meet to play in matches other than in the Leeds League we play at Kippax Ex-Service & Social Club, Church Lane, Kippax, Leeds LS25 7HF. Opposing captains should always check with Clive Davies.

To all players we need games handing in for our 'Members Games'compendium. They can be any recent game or one from the past you played, won, lost or drawn. You & others will be able to see them on the World Wide Web! Post/pass them to Steve Russell or just e-mail the moves with or without your own comments. We'll do the rest.
